Matthew Johnson is Guardtime’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and responsible for the direction of Guardtime’s Information Assurance solutions, technology roadmap, and service delivery. As an Information and Software Assurance firm, Matthew is responsible for shaping Guardtime’s solutions in massive-scale digital asset authentication. Guardtime is a global firm and is commencing its next phase of growth across a number of transformative initiatives including Attributed Networking, Cloud, Connected Vehicles, Mobility, Big Data, Defence, Internet of Things, and Trusted Computing and Storage.
Presently, Matthew also serves to support a number of technical advisory board groups including Information Assurance support to Ericsson, the United States National Institute of Standards, the EU Cloud Steering Group, and the United States Congress on data protection, privacy and cyber security strategies. He also advises on Information Assurance and cyber-security and integrity investments and provides advocacy to the US Department of Defence and US Federal Agencies.
Mr. Johnson holds a B.S. in Statistical Sciences/Behavioral Analysis from the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO and a M.S. in Information Assurance from Norwich University in Northfield, VT with a focus on cryptographic security technologies and he also holds numerous cyber-related certifications.
